Secure AI reviews
A technical and control review of an artificial intelligence system your organization has built or bought, before it goes into production or after it is already there. The review covers the data going in, the access model, the failure modes specific to language models, and the human control points around the system.
What this engagement does not provide
This engagement does not provide an assurance opinion or conclusion. Findings identify observed conditions against the criteria agreed at scoping, and are provided to support management's risk decisions. Where your function needs independent assurance over an AI system rather than advice, say so at scoping and the engagement is structured differently.
How the engagement runs
- System understanding. Architecture, data flows, model and vendor, and what decisions the system influences.
- Threat modeling. Failure and abuse paths, including prompt injection, unintended data disclosure, tool and function access, and behavior under adversarial input.
- Control review. Access, logging, retention, evaluation practice, and the human review points around consequential outputs.
- Testing. Targeted testing of the paths that matter most, agreed with you in advance.
- Reporting. Findings written for a technical owner, with a summary written for an executive.
What you receive
- System and data flow documentation as reviewed
- Threat model
- Findings with severity, each tied to the criteria applied
- Remediation guidance with sequence
- Executive summary suitable for a risk committee
Criteria used
Reviews are performed against published criteria rather than opinion. The criteria set is agreed at scoping and typically draws on the AI Risk Management Framework published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, its Generative AI Profile, the Open Worldwide Application Security Project Top 10 for large language model applications, and your own internal standards where they are more specific.
